Devorah Heitner, Ph.D.

Dr. Heitner holds a Ph.D. in Media, Technology, and Society from Northwestern University and is the author of “Screenwise: Helping Kids Thrive (and Survive) in Their Digital World” and “Growing Up in Public: Coming of Age in a Digital World”. Her work on mentoring kids through their digital lives rather than simply monitoring them has appeared in the New York Times, the Washington Post, and the Wall Street Journal. She'll bring the research and practical framing behind what's driving this year's rise in screen-related conflict in schools.
