Your child deserves to thrive

“Every student struggles. It’s part of growing up. It can be scary and frustrating and unpredictable, but it’s also totally normal. As a mom myself, I want you to know that you’re not alone. We’re here to support you and help your child build skills, resilience, and confidence so that they can thrive—not just at school, but at home and in life.”

Vanessa Da Silva, LICSW
Cartwheel Licensed Therapist

“We can't say just how appreciative and impressed we are with your organization. Your prompt communication and professionalism were key in a smooth transition for my child's mental health. Our therapist had just the perfect demeanor and kind understanding that made my child feel safe and supported. My daughter’s work with you was a game changer for her life.”

Kim F.
Cartwheel parent

“As a parent, I witnessed first-hand the challenges kids face as they navigate their school age years. As a therapist, I create a supportive space for kids and teens to succeed, and I love to collaborate with other parents to help their children grow, communicate, and work through their ups and downs.”

Care journey

Your child can see a licensed therapist within seven to ten days of referral from your school counselor. Here’s how it works:

Referral

You'll work with your school counselor to decide if Cartwheel is a good fit. Once we receive a referral from your school counselor, one of our Care Coordinators will immediately reach out. We’ll welcome you to Cartwheel, collect your insurance information, and schedule the first session.

Assessment

Within seven to ten days, you'll meet with a licensed mental health professional for 60 minutes to explore your family's needs and develop a plan. We'll ask you to join a portion of this session so we can work together as a team to support your kid.

Personalized care

Your child immediately starts care with Cartwheel. Typically, this is a combination of individual therapy, group therapy, and medication if appropriate. We also offer individual weekly sessions between the parent and clinician to work on strategies to support your child. Our care typically lasts two to six months.

Ongoing support

As needed, we’ll work with you to find longer-term or more specialized care for your student. We’ll do our best to provide care to you and your family until that additional care is available.
